Meghan Markles Phone Number, Message Leaked From School Parents Group Chat: Report

Meghan Markle’s phone number was reportedly leaked after she joined a group chat for parents at her children’s school.

U.K. tabloid The Sun reported on Wednesday, September 15, that Meghan, 45, joined a WhatsApp group for Year 3 parents ahead of Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, starting their first day at a U.K. school.

However, the Duchess of Sussex’s phone number and a message she shared with other parents have subsequently “been shared multiple times,” reported The Sun, which posted a screenshot from the purported group.

One message read, “Welcome to Meghan who has Archie joining tomo.”

Meghan Markle shared a sweet birthday tribute to her husband, Prince Harry, as he turns 42. “He’s simply the best,” Meghan, 45, captioned a montage of family moments featuring Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, posted via Instagram on Tuesday, September 15. “Happy birthday, my love ❤️,” Meghan continued, sharing the post […]

“The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family’s security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements,” a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Hello! on Monday. “The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family. This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there.”

Meghan, Harry, 42, and their children moved to California in 2020 after the couple stepped down as senior working members of the royal family. As a result, they lost their taxpayer-funded security, which made Harry reluctant to bring his wife and children home to the U.K. for many years.

In May 2025, the Duke of Sussex lost an appeal to reinstate his security. “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point,” Harry told the BBC at the time, citing security concerns.

Earlier this week, the BBC reported that the family’s access to publicly funded security will be reviewed now that they have returned to the U.K. The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC), which oversees security arrangements for the royal family and other high-profile people, will reconsider what, if any, police protection Harry, Meghan and their children may be eligible to receive.

The committee is expected to “assess any risks they face in their new home and the type of trips taken by the couple and their family, such as regular travel routes and school runs,” reported the BBC.
