CHICAGO — September 2026 — Irene Michaels has spent a lifetime proving that reinvention doesn’t require abandoning where you’ve been. It means having the curiosity and courage to keep discovering where you can go next.
That philosophy is being celebrated in the September 2026 issue of CS Magazine, a Modern Luxury publication, which features Michaels among its “Dynamic Women 2026.”
The recognition feels particularly fitting for a woman whose career has crossed entertainment, media, fashion, beauty, entrepreneurship and music—and who continues to add new chapters rather than simply celebrate past accomplishments.
For Michaels, being “dynamic” has never meant standing still long enough to be defined by a single title.
Over the course of her career, she has worked as an entrepreneur, media personality, fashion and beauty authority, author and entertainer. She is also the founder of I On The Scene, the lifestyle and entertainment media platform that celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026.
Two decades is an impressive milestone for any media venture, but Michaels continues to look ahead. Her current creative chapter includes a renewed focus on music, recording and live performance, adding recording artist to an already unusually diverse résumé.
Rather than treating her return to music as a nostalgic look backward, Michaels has approached it much as she has everything else in her career: as another opportunity to create something new.
That may be what makes her inclusion among CS Magazine’s Dynamic Women 2026 especially timely.
Michaels, now 81, challenges the conventional idea that careers are supposed to become smaller with age. Hers seems to keep expanding. New music, performances, media ventures and creative opportunities aren’t departures from what came before—they are extensions of a life built around curiosity and reinvention.
“I have always believed that life is about continuing to grow, create and discover what comes next,” Michaels says. “Being included among Modern Luxury’s Dynamic Women is especially meaningful because it celebrates women who continue to evolve, take chances and build new chapters.”

It can still be a work in progress.
That idea extends beyond Michaels herself. In industries that can be obsessed with youth and the “next new thing,” her career offers a different definition of relevance. Staying relevant isn’t necessarily about chasing trends. Sometimes it comes from remaining interested, engaged and willing to take creative risks.

Each chapter has informed the next without requiring Michaels to surrender the ones that came before.
