Spider-Man: Brand New Day wasn’t watched the way Marvel Studios and Sony intended.

In a report by Variety, a bootleg version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day was leaked in full by an account with the name Frederick Bryan. The leaked bootleg reached 5.9 million accounts with over 143,000 likes and 10,000 reshares before the post was taken down nine hours later. Other accounts quickly downloaded and posted the copy, but they didn’t last long and were quickly shut down. Sony has yet to comment on the situation.

Most recently, the other major summer blockbuster, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, also starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, was leaked to the masses and reached 2.1 million views within two and a half hours before quickly being taken down.
