The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose has filed for divorce from her husband, Justin Rose, months after the couple separated.
Whitney, 39, filed to dissolve her 16-year marriage in Utah on Tuesday, October 6, according to court documents obtained by Us. Whitney also submitted a proposed parenting plan regarding the couple’s two children. (Whitney and Justin, 58, share daughter Bobbie, 16, and son Brooks, 13.) Page Six was first to report the news.
Us confirmed in July that Whitney and Justin separated. The Bravo star noted last month that the twosome actually parted ways in May but were still in constant contact.
“[Our kids] have so much love and support around them that their life hasn’t really changed much because we’re nesting,” Whitney exclusively told Us in September. “Justin and I work together. We coparent. We do everything together. So, from the kids’ perspective, I would imagine, I mean, based on their feedback, it’s more peaceful. It’s better.”

Whitney noted that she and Justin “share two places,” an apartment and a house, and they “rotate between the two.”
“The kids stay in our primary home, so their routine doesn’t change, their life doesn’t change,” Whitney explained last month. “They have their bedrooms, they have their friends. My house is the hub for all the friends, so their life hasn’t changed.”
Whitney further revealed that her separation will be chronicled on RHOSLC season 7 “in real time.”
“I didn’t hold anything back. I shared everything that I felt was safe to share and that would protect my children,” she stated, adding that she first moved out of the couple’s shared bedroom in February. “One might think that’s not a big move. That’s silly, but for Justin and I, that was a big move. I mean, we’re very codependent.”

She continued, “We do everything together, and to me, that was a big move. Just stating that I need space, and that I’m going to take a step in the direction of creating separation and space, was a huge step for me.”
According to Whitney, she and Justin are also “working through next steps” to determine the future of their shared business venture.
“For the business, Wild Rose Beauty, we got it back. We’re selling, and I have a huge announcement at the end of the year,” she told Us. “I’m so excited, and Justin very much helped me do that. Next steps right now, we’re just taking it day by day. We’re focused on the kids and the business and just putting a pause on our marriage.”
