A Few When Calls The HeartStars Have Stories To Share After The Season 13 Finale
When Calls the Heart follows the story of Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher who moves to a coal-mining town. The long-running series previously wrapped up its thirteenth season back in March.
Fans of the series know Chris McNally as Lucas Bouchard, who joined the series in the sixth season. Serving as a love interest for Elizabeth early on, he even proposed to her during the Season 9 finale, with them breaking off their engagement and Elizabeth falling in love with Kevin McGarry’s Nathan Grant.
However, McNally is set to star in another project, and When Calls the Heart is helping to get the word out. He is going to star in an upcoming film, Love Finds You, alongside Friday Night Lights alum Aimee Teegarden.
According to Hallmark’s website, Love Finds You follows a jewelry designer, Alex, played by Aimee, who believes a mislabeled package will lead her to love. McNally plays a delivery driver, Jack, who teams up with her in her quest.
The show’s official Instagram page even shared a promo video featuring a clip of the film. However, McNally isn’t the only series star who has new projects underway.

This was a promotion for Hallmark’s upcoming “Fall into Love” line-up, which will debut on August 16. As shared in a clip, “8 all-new movies! With MANY When Calls the Heart faces! Can you name all of them? Let us know in the comments below.”
Other stars that could be seen include Lori Loughlin and Kevin McGarry. Loughlin will appear with the return of the Garage Sale Mystery series, in which she stars as Jennifer Shannon. Meanwhile, McGarry is expected to star in a Halloween-themed movie, A Halloween Carol.”
Even someone close to McNally has big news to share. His spouse, Julie Gonzalo, is set to appear in another Fall film, Her Knight to Remember.
