Paramount is getting sued again.

A production company has brought forth a shocking lawsuit against Paramount for destroying a crime drama series, bringing major allegations against the studio. Paramount is currently facing a number of legal challenges, notably as it attempts to push through its buyout of Warner Bros. On Monday, August 24, California Attorney General Rob Bonta pulled a meeting with Paramount, accusing the company of leaks while trying to settle an antitrust lawsuit brought against it. The company has until October 1 to finalize a deal, after which it will need to pay $7 million per day to Warner Bros. shareholders.

Now, a new lawsuit against the studio is being brought into the spotlight. According to Deadline, Blackbox Multimedia is suing Paramount’s UK Network, 5, alleging the network wrongfully terminated a production deal with the company. Blackbox, which is the studio behind shows like The Ex-Wife and Benidorm is Murder, alleges that an unnamed show they were developing was axed deep into production. They state they delivered the series to 5 as contractually obligated, and should earn payment for the project. However, 5 states Blackbox never delivered the production at all.

More to come…
