Bre Tiesi Makes Rare Comment About Ex-Husband Johnny Manziel, Getting Special Forces Advice

Bre Tiesi is revealing how her ex-husband, Johnny Manziel, helped her prepare to compete on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test selection.

“I talked to Dwight [Howard] and then my ex-husband, Johnny, was on it,” Tiesi, 35, said on the Tuesday, November 3, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “So, I talked to the two of them. Dwight was like, ‘I don’t know if you should do this,’ and then Johnny was like, ‘Absolutely.’ He’s, like, ‘You’ll probably get mad at some point, but aside from that, you should do it.’”

Howard, 40, appeared on Special Forces season 1, while Manziel, 33, was a celebrity recruit during season 4 of the Fox hit reality show. Tiesi, for her part, appeared on season 5 but voluntarily left in the middle of the course.

Before welcoming a son with Nick Cannon and joining Selling Sunset’s Oppenheim Group, Bre Tiesi was in a relationship with Johnny Manziel. The model and the former quarterback known as “Johnny Football” started dating in 2016 — the same year Manziel was fired by his agent and released by the Cleveland Browns amid struggles with […]

Well before Tiesi’s stint in the jungle, the Selling Sunset star was married to Manziel from 2018 to 2021.

“I mean, we went through a lot. We didn’t talk for years after our divorce,” Tiesi recalled of her marriage on Tuesday’s episode. “I’m very big on, if you can take accountability and apologize

and be an adult and talk things out, I’m happy to move forward.”

She continued, “Obviously, we loved each other at one point. We got married. So, I was like, ‘You know what? I respect and accept this apology and I appreciate it, and we can just be cool moving forward.’ I wouldn’t say we hang out often or talk every day, but we’re definitely cool.”

According to Tiesi, tackling the Special Forces course “was easy” in comparison to her marriage and eventual divorce.

“I think I just learned that I didn’t want to be married. I didn’t really want to be in that type of a serious relationship,” she stated. “ I didn’t like anything about being married. I do really well on my own, and just the responsibility of it. Having to answer to him and just all the things that he was going through, I was like, ‘Maybe I’m really selfish. I don’t know, but this is just not it.’ I was just not happy. I think that was my biggest lesson, honestly.”

Tiesi added, “We were very toxic. It was not a healthy thing, and I think I learned a lot about myself. I had a lot of self-reflection because of that.”

Tiesi welcomed her son, Legendary, in 2022 with partner Nick Cannon. The father of 12 children with six different women including Tiesi, 46, and the model have a non-monogamous relationship.
