Anson Mount Has Returned As Batman In DC’s Newest Movie After A 5-Year-Long Hiatus
While Anson Mount is not the most famous Batman actor of all time, he has played a key role in the Dark Knight’s film history, having voiced the hero during the 2021 film adaptation of Injustice, one of the most well-known DC comics of all time – though this has arguably fallen to the wayside despite the story’s comic prominence due to casual fans missing the film, and more hardcore DC fans generally being more invested in the original story or the video game adaptation.
However, following this role, it appeared as though Mount might not return as Batman on the big screen, partly because he appeared as an alternate universe Batman due to Injustice being set in an alternate world, and partly because the actor’s 2022 appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Black Bolt suggested he could possibly be set to move over to Marvel releases instead, even though the variant of Bolt he played died shortly after his introduction.
Now, though, Anson Mount’s return as a movie version of Batman has officially been cemented via the release of Batman: Knightfall Part 1, which sees the actor play the titular role. With the Knightfall film series having been announced as a trilogy, Mount also has another two rounds as DC’s beloved Dark Knight left at minimum, and could well appear as the Caped Crusader even after this, thanks to his experience in the role.

Now, the actor has had experience not only with live-action superhero movies, but also with the other biggest superhero franchise of all time in terms of Marvel and their extensive on-screen empire, which seems as though it could well have helped Anson Mount with his role in the Knightfall trilogy via giving him more experience with the wider world of the superhero genre.
