North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, is set up for all the success in the world. However, her career aspiration? To get an everyday, normal job. So, where does she desire to work? Keep reading to find out what North had to say.
North West’s Career
North West is only 13 years old; however, she’s already had a career that most people can only dream of. So far, she’s been on TV, she’s been a model, she’s been onstage with her dad, she’s been in music videos, she’s sung her own songs, and most recently she was even supposed to go on tour (however, that ended up getting canceled).
Kim Kardashian has always been incredibly supportive of her children’s dreams. So, whatever North wants to do seems to be possible for her, despite her young age.
However, despite being all about music in the past, North has different dreams. Apparently, she wants to work at Starbucks.
Kim Kardashian’s Daughter Wants A ‘Regular Job’
When she turns 14 years old, North West revealed that she’s ready to have a ‘regular’ job. Interestingly enough, she picked Starbucks:
“I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so … I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess.”
Fans on aReddit thread found this sad for a multitude of reasons. Mostly because North can have anything in the world, and she seems to just want normalcy – the one thing she will never be able to have.
- This made me sad. First, because she isn’t even legally old enough to work, yet her parents are allowing her to do this. Second, because she clearly wants to experience some sense of normalcy,” one person writes.
They continued discussing her age. North is incredibly young to not only be dreaming about her next job, but to already have a resume:
- “Kim and Kanye are letting her do this far too young. I don’t understand the rush. She has her entire adult life to be a star. We only get to be kids once. North could’ve had a more lowkey childhood and teenage experience.”

- “It’s especially crazy because she is the Kanye West and the Kim Kardashian’s daughter. “Hype” would’ve been there for whatever she did at ANY age. She could’ve stayed lower key and waited till at least 18 and not cost any potential fans/success/etc.”
Someone else pointed out that North is so young she probably doesn’t even know what someone does who works at Starbucks.
