John Goodman was America’s favorite father on Roseanne and The Conners for over a decade. When he was on Roseanne, he was pleasantly plump, but by the time the reboot happened, he had dropped an incredible amount of weight. The legendary actor has continued his weight loss journey, and now, in a new photo of the star, he is scary skinny. Fans have even expressed concern for him, feeling something is just not right. John Goodman Has Changed A Lot In His Life
For decades, fans have loved John Goodman, and he has an extensive and impressive resume. Not only did he star as Dan Conner on Roseanne, but he made quite a name for himself in film. He starred in The Big Lebowski, Monsters, Inc, The Babe, and The Flintstones,just to name a few. John has always had a tall and commanding presence, standing at 6’2. At his heaviest, he weighed in at around 400 pounds. However, that all changed when he opted to get sober in 2007, which forced him to change his life.
In 2016, John Goodman shared details of his weight loss and how he got himself on a better path:
“I just stopped eating all the time. I’d have a handful of food, and it’d go to my mouth. I was just eating all the time. I was just eating alcoholically. In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a 6-pack of bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits. Then this time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore. And it gives me the energy to work, ‘cause work is very draining.”
Fans were blown away by his losing 200 pounds, as he did not look like the same person. During the seven-season run of The Conners, John was not the same Dan Conner that they had grown up with. However, he attempted to have the same charm. Recently, actor David DeLuise ran into John and snapped a quick selfie with him. In the caption, he wrote:
- He was my childhood !! ❤️ Legend ! I love that I get to say that to someone 😉 if you know you know.
Immediately, it sparked concern as fans did not think John looked well at all. Moreover, some did not even recognize him and were scared for his health.
Is John Okay?
Although many are so thrilled that John Goodman has managed to stay on a good weight loss regimen for nearly two decades, they are also fearful. This snap with David DeLuise of Wizards of Waverly Placefame was concerning, as John did not look well. Fans quickly expressed their thoughts and hoped the Roseanne alum was taking care of himself:
- As one who has always been on a constant battle with weight, I do think he is to thin, he doesn’t loot healthy. His coloring is bad, on the yellow side..
- It is one thing to lose a lot of weight; good for him! But a couple of years ago, he still looked like himself, only much leaner. Now you could never get me to believe that picture, at least, is him.
- His coloring is off. More like ash gray. He does not appear healthy to me.
Hopefully, John Goodman is just aging, as everyone does, and there is nothing to worry about. He has worked for a very long time, and maybe he needs to take it easy.
