Ian Diaz’s Family Begs For ‘Mercy’
A Toxic Love Story showcased the twisted relationship between Ian and Angela Diaz. They went to great lengths to act as if Ian’s ex-fiancée, Michelle Hadley, was a cyberstalker. Moreover, she appeared to be harassing and setting up horrible scenarios for Angela. None of this was true, but she had been victimized by Ian when they were together. He had sick fantasies he wanted her to play out, plus he used and abused her. After all was said and done, Michelle was jailed for 88 days before she was released.
Angela was ultimately sentenced to five years but served around three, while Ian received over a decade. Just before Ian was officially arrested, he married a woman named Amy, and they had a son together. He was officially sentenced in 2023, but around the same time, Ian’s stepfather, who helped raise him since he was little, wrote a heartfelt plea. Mark Doughty made it clear that Ian would never hurt anyone and was not a violent person.
Moreover, he loved his wife and son, Tristan, adding:
“He loves Tristan more than his own life.”
It was also stated that Ian Diaz was extremely involved with Amy and Tristan, taking them to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Medieval Times. Finally, Ian allegedly was a huge help to his wife so she could focus on being a full-time teacher. Those who watched A Toxic Love Story know this seems suspicious given that he made Michelle Hadley quit her substantial job. He then had her work where he had people watching her. The letter concluded with a plea for “mercy” as well as leniency.

Although Ian Diaz’s stepfather claimed that he had an error in judgment, Michelle Hadley’s mother was done with him. She also wrote a letter and wanted the harshest punishment for Ian. A Toxic Love Story viewers have been displeased with Ian and Angela, feeling they both got off too easily:
