Live music and roller skating will once again lock arms in the heart of Brooklyn when the LeFrak Center at Lakeside rolls out its 2026 Roller Skating Summer Concert Series. Prospect Park will transform into a one-of-a-kind venue for these seven-shows, which kick off July 24 and promise concertgoers the chance to catch rising artists, celebrate summer nights and skate beneath the covered rink.
The series runs through the end of August and offers something for nearly every musical taste. Emerging performers, tribute acts, and indie favorites highlight the schedule, with NYC’s own Dogpark opening the series alongside Juice and Cab Ellis. Then on August 1st, Calgary’s Fish in a Birdcage brings their innovative blend of orchestral folk, electronics and alt-rock to a bill that also includes Sparkbird and Malinda.

On August 7, New Jersey-based indie stars The Happy Fits share the stage with Stolen Gin and openers Hojean. A week later, TRAGEDY: Glam Metal Tribute To The Bee Gees brings their high octane mashup of disco and metal alongside classic alternative and Britpop cover band The Wankers.
The final stretch features LSD Clownsystem’s tribute to LCD Soundsystem on August 22 and then the series wraps on August 28 when Phoneboy is joined by Boys Go To Jupiter.

“Our vision is to create a summer tradition that brings people together through music, movement, and community,” says Jordan Ekstein of Ekstein Development, operators of the facility. “The LeFrak Center offers a truly unique setting where guests can skate, discover new artists, connect with local businesses, and enjoy an unforgettable night in Prospect Park.”
The 2026 Roller Skating Summer Concert Series brings music, recreation, and community programming into an all-ages experience that reflects the creative spirit of Brooklyn. Guests can watch performances from the rink floor while skating, relax in VIP rooftop viewing areas, or explore food vendors and local businesses between sets.
Each event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is expected to draw roughly one thousand attendees. Beyond the concerts themselves, visitors can take advantage of public roller skating throughout the evening, rooftop VIP hospitality experiences, food and drinks from Duck Island Café, family-friendly activities, and a marketplace featuring Brooklyn-based businesses and vendors.
Located in the heart of Prospect Park, the LeFrak Center at Lakeside has become one of New York City’s most versatile recreational spaces. The venue hosts everything from ice skating and hockey during the winter to roller skating, boating, and live music during the warmer months.
The facility has increasingly expanded its role as a cultural destination while maintaining its focus on community programming. According to organizers, the Roller Skating Summer Concerts concert are designed as a platform for local artists, students, nonprofits, and cultural organizations through partnerships, educational programming, and community activation.
