Sufjan Stevens Announce Seven Swans Reissue for 20th Anniversary

Sufjan Stevens and Asthmatic Kitty Records will mark the 20th anniversary of his fourth album, Seven Swans, with a deluxe reissue due out on June 21st.

The reissued album will be available on a variety of physical formats, including a zoetrope picture disc edition as well as on silver and split-colored vinyl. Additionally, the album’s B-sides, “I Went Dancing With My Sister” and “Waste of What Your Kids Won’t Have” will be pressed on flexi-disc as well as be available digitally for the first time. Pre-orders for Seven Swans (20th Anniversary Edition) are now ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Broadway musical adaptation of Stevens’ 2005 album, Illinois, is currently playing at the St. James Theatre through August (get tickets here). The production is nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations, and Best Lighting Design. Additionally, a cast recording is set for release via Nonesuch Records on May 31st.
