Drake Bell Claims He Was Sexually Abused by Dialogue Coach

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has revealed that, as a child, he was sexually assaulted by his former dialogue coach, Brian Peck.

Bell disclosed his story of abuse for the first time in the new docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

In 2004, Peck was convicted of committing a lewd act against a child and oral copulation of a person under 16, and was sentenced to 16 months in prison. Due to privacy laws, the identity of Peck’s victim had not been made public — until now.

According to a press release for Quiet on Set, Bell “will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck, his former dialogue coach who was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Drake and ordered to register as a sex offender.” A teaser trailer featuring Bell has been released ahead of the docuseries’ premiere, which you can see below.

The four-part Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV is set to premiere across two nights, March 17th and 18th, on Investigation Discovery. It promises to uncover “the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.”

Bell starred in Nickelodeon series The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh. In 2021, he pleaded guilty to child enlargement related to his conduct with a then-underaged fan. He was sentenced to two years probation and 200 hours of community service.
