Keep Positive with Chantara

Coming from a multicultural family, Chantara grew up speaking five languages in her household. Being an only child in her family, she found solace in music. She first discovered her voice and music in elementary school. She was so excited about her music class. She listened to latin pop as she grew up. Latin pop became her strongest influence in her musical upbringing.

The single “Distant Star” was written when she was in high school. It was the first song she’d ever written. The tune popped in her head out of the blue. It was magical and was the exact moment she had waited all her life.

Chantara had discovered something: “Songwriting could set her free.”

“My music is a fusion of elements that coexist in the same place, in one song.” she says of her multicultural upbringing.

Because of her upbringing, latin pop plays an important role in her music. Her greatest influences are Shakira, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Enrique Iglesias and Marc Anthony.

Please describe to our audience how you came about on the music scene and what is the biggest difference between your first piece of music to your latest ‘El Único’!

I’ve been writing songs since high school and I worked with my guitarist on creating new music. El Único is a latin dance song that will make your whole body move. It’s a very exotic song with half English and Spanish that was written by my guitarist and me.

What are you doing to push a positive message as the year comes to an end and there is a new beginning coming up with this new year?

Be positive and keep believing in yourself!!

Are there any rituals you have developed over the years that are helpful for any upcoming changes happening?

Work hard and praise the Lord.

Could you talk about a success that happened this year that you would attribute to all your hard work?

I’m happy with how the streaming is doing and I need to keep working on that.

Could you talk about an obstacle that you persevered through?

I had a major setback when I got in a car accident a couple of months ago. I’m working on my new music video next month. It’s time to rise and shine.

How do you think these experiences have helped you shape your career and approach your music?

It helps me to be grateful of everything I had and appreciative of all the things around me. It makes me realize that music is my passion and we only live once. We need to pursue our dreams and passion, and never give up.

How do you continue to develop your community of fans over the years?

Keep on writing great music and to make the world a better place to live.

Thank you for sharing all your music with us! Can you give us any exclusive on more music coming up?

It’ll be a romantic Spanish ballad for the next one.
