Report: Miles Teller’s Allegedly Unvaccinated Ass Causes Headaches on Godfather Series Set

Teller was originally cast in Paramount+’s The Offer to replace Armie Hammer.

The coronavirus vaccine was an offer Miles Teller shouldn’t have refused but reportedly did, according to an explosive account in Britain’s Daily Mail. The paper says that Teller tested positive for COVID-19 on the Hollywood set of The Offer, Paramount+’s forthcoming series about the making of The Godfather. The report further alleges that Teller was not vaccinated and refused an earlier COVID test before his eventual diagnosis shut down production.

“Now he’s brought the virus to the set and the whole set had to shut down,” a source told the Daily Mail.

Teller’s publicist told the paper that their “facts are incorrect,” but did not elaborate.

Teller was cast in The Offer in late May to replace Armie Hammer for the role of producer Albert Ruddy during the Call Me By Your Name actor’s public relations freefall. At around the same time, Teller, who has cultivated a reputation of being a bit cocksure, was assaulted in the restroom of a restaurant in Hawaii by a man who claimed Teller owed him money.

Next November will see the delayed release of Top Gun: Maverick, in which Teller co-stars with Tom Cruise. Considering how the A-lister reacted when he discovered some crew members on Mission: Impossible 7 cut Covid protocol corners, it’s a good thing this alleged Teller debacle didn’t happen on a Cruise set.

Update: Variety Editor-At-Large Kate Aurthur tweeted that The Offer was not actually shut down, but had no information regarding the rest of the story.
