In Latest Time Warp, Bennifer Appears With Krusty the Clown

It’s a fun day out for the whole family.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, or “Bennifer” as an overall metaphysical concept, continue to widen the wormhole in time-space via the unexpected (but welcomed by all!) second act of their relationship. To wit, they were spotted with a fondly remembered character of yesteryear in the Simpsons-branded section of Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday.

As reported by Page Six, the couple, who met back in 2001 when The Simpsons was still good, were seen having a fun time ‘neath the enormous, smirking maw of one Herschel Krustofsky, better known to television viewers as Krusty the Clown.

Lopez’s two children were with them, as we were one of Affleck’s three kids and some bodyguards. Lopez and the younger Affleck were seen holding an iced beverage, but Ben, in a rare display, was not. A quick check of the dining options at Universal Studios confirms that there are no Dunkin’ vendors on the premises. (Whether Affleck, who is loyal to the brand, perhaps later broke ranks and enjoyed comestibles from rival Cinnabon is not, sadly, in Page Six’s report.)

Word is that fellow park attendees played it cool, which is encouraging. “They looked like they were just two people walking around — not a single person came up to them,” a bystander said, according to the report.

The commingling of their families in such a visible spot suggests that Bennifer 2.0, coming in the wake of the public breakups between Affleck and Ana de Armas and Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, is on sturdy ground. As recently as early June, Affleck’s father, Timothy, said that he had no idea what the two stars were up to and called the concept of his son pining for Lopez all these many years “nonsense.”
