Caitlyn Jenner is Running for Governor Because Her Private Jet-Flying Friends Are Sick of the Homeless

Just the other day a pal with an airplane hangar across from hers said “I’m moving to Sedona, Arizona, I can’t take it anymore. I can’t walk down the streets and see the homeless.”

Earlier this week, Caitlyn Jenner unveiled her first campaign ad in which she said she’s running to replace Gavin Newsom as governor because California used to be the place of the American dream but “career politicians and their policies have destroyed that dream.” Obviously, the American dream means different things to different people, and on Wednesday, in a primetime interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star explained that for her and her wealthy friends, it means being able to get in their private planes and fly around the state without having to see the filthy homeless.

Speaking to Hannity from, yes, her private airplane hangar in Malibu, Jenner said her friend who has his own hangar across from hers is so sick of all these poor people that he’s packing his belongings (private jets, etc) and moving to Arizona.

Claiming that she doesn’t “want to leave” California, Jenner added “either I stay and fight or I get out of here.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the former decathlete/reality TV star questioned the need to build a high-speed rail connecting Los Angeles and San Fransisco, when one can just as easily fly between the two cities in their private plane:

As my colleague, Chris Smith wrote on Wednesday—prior to Jenner explaining she has to run because her rich friends can’t stand the sight of the unhoused—the ex-Olympian’s entry into the recall race is expected to “do nothing but help Newsom survive,” as her “first-time run for office will suck up media attention that might otherwise be focused on Newsom’s record,” and enlisting of Trump advisors strengthens the Newsom team’s claim that “the recall effort is a hard-right ploy to steal an office California Republicans can’t win in a conventional election.”

Earlier this week, Jenner told a reporter that she opposes transgender girls being allowed to participate in girls’ sports, claiming it was an issue of fairness. “That’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school,” she said. “It just isn’t fair. And we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.” In response, Equality California, an LGBTQ advocacy organization, wrote on Twitter: “Here are the facts: Caitlyn Jenner is willing to sacrifice the health & well-being of trans kids to win votes. Gavin Newsom is not. It’s that simple.”
