Alex Rodriguez Is at the Fit Pic Stage of the Breakup

Thirst traps are for healing.

Alex Rodriguez is a man of many talents. Baseball. Talking analytics. Getting into relationships. Getting out of them.

Now, he seems to be trying on something new, and that is the post-breakup thirst trap. Here he is, solo with thighs out and on a boat, as breakup rumors swirled around he and Jennifer Lopez, but were denied. Here he is getting his second shot, a little muscle that must exist on everyone, but only really protrudes on some, after the two confirmed the relationship was over in a joint statement.

And this week, there is this fit flex of sorts. He is pointing out that he is freshly ripped likely thanks to a specific trainer on a specific fitness plan and says farewell to his “dad bod,” which okay. Alright.

Now this functions as an ad or an informal promotion for said trainer and said fitness plan, but it’s a thirst trap nonetheless. J. Lo has been doing a version too, but it doesn’t seem like she’s doing it because of the breakup; it’s just what she always does. It’s part of her job. Rodriguez is just participating in the time-honored tradition of asserting one’s fineness in more ways than one on Instagram post-breakup, and that is his right.

The two former lovers are now friends, it appears, and got dinner together this past weekend at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, according to Page Six. So, like, everything is good. He’s fine. Also, he’s fine
