Serena Williams, Gal Gadot, and Michael B. Jordan Join Oscar Hopefuls Amanda Seyfried, Shaka King, and Glenn Close to Raise Money for Charity in Vanity Fair’s Cocktail Hour, Live!

Radhika Jones to host awards-season virtual event series of panel discussions, interviews, and celebrity competitions.

Awards season is officially in full swing, and while it’s off to a mixed start—the Globes were deeply troubled; the Grammys a breath of fresh air—things seem to be heading in the right direction, with the Academy mostly getting it right with last week’s Oscar nominations.

Now Vanity Fair is getting in on the act, with the debut of Cocktail Hour, Live!, an all-new charity event on April 13–15, featuring stars in roundtable conversations, one-on-one interviews, cast reunions, closet tours, trivia competitions, and more.

The series will kick off with superstars Serena Williams and Michael B. Jordan interviewing each other about their careers and passions. Over the course of three starry nights, Glenn Close will take us through her closet; Gal Gadot will dish on her upcoming projects; and Radhika Jones will gab with everyone’s Hollywood favorite, Laura Dern. Along the way, Ziwe will interview Oscar-nominated Judas and the Black Messiah director Shaka King; Kathryn Hahn will join Judith Light in conversation; Jenny Lumet will bring one of her Vanity Fair columns to life; and Amanda Seyfried, Paris Hilton, Yves Behar, and more will stop by for some fun. Sacha Baron Cohen will take viewers through an “Anatomy of Scene” for his Oscar-nominated films The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Each evening will culminate in a celebrity game night, with Jon Hamm hosting a high-stakes card game; Jessica Alba and Kelly Rowland leading a rousing round of “Never Have I Ever”; and musicians Alana Haim and Este Haim facing off against Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone in a trivia grudge match.

Bringing the pages of Vanity Fair to life in all of their trademark high-low glory, Cocktail Hour, Live! will support the Hollywood community and Los Angeles, with a portion of ticket-sale proceeds donated to the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF) to help support COVID-19 relief efforts. The three-day series is presented by GREY GOOSE® Essences and Lancôme, and supported by Cointreau and Tequila Don Julio.

Vanity Fair Cocktail Hour, Live! will air Tuesday, April 13; Wednesday, April 14; and Thursday, April 15 at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET. You can find more information and purchase tickets at vf.com/live.

Vanity Fair will donate* 20% of the actual purchase price of tickets (less taxes and fees) from vf.com/live. to support Motion Picture Television Fund from March 25, 2021, through April 15, 2021. All donations shall be made payable to the Motion Picture Television Fund, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Learn more at https://mptf.com/.
