This February, networks and streaming services are bringing new and exciting content for viewers to enjoy. This weekend alone features the premieres of exciting new movies and the return of a fan-favorite series.

There’s a plethora of new content coming out this weekend, including the American Idol season 19 premiere, the last To All The Boys movie, the debut of Brandy’s Cinderella on Disney+, and more. Here’s a list of notable movies and TV shows to watch from Feb. 12 to Feb. 15 across networks, online, and streaming services.
‘American Idol’
American Idol is back for season 19 on ABC. The new season will premiere Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. ET. Superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie are returning, along with host Ryan Seacrest and in-house mentor Bobby Bones. The judges will be looking for the next singing sensation once again. One of the Idol hopefuls is Claudia Conway, the 16-year-old daughter of Donald Trump’s former White House advisor Kellyanne Conway. Claudia’s audition will air in the season 19 premiere.
‘Judas and the Black Messiah’
Judas and the Black Messiah is the latest of the Warner Bros. films to be released simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max. The film will be available starting Feb. 12 at no additional cost to subscribers for 31 days from the theatrical premiere. The movie follows William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield), a man who is offered a plea deal by the FBI to infiltrate the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to get information on Chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya).
Daniel’s performance is a tour de force and earned him a Golden Globe nomination. An Oscar nomination is almost a sure thing. Lakeith’s streak of memorable roles continues. He shines as the man who betrayed Fred. The film features an incredible supporting cast that includes Dominique Fishback and Jesse Plemons.
‘Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy’
Everyone loves Stanley Tucci, and now we get to enjoy him in his brand-new CNN series, Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, which premieres Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. ET. The 4-part CNN Original Series follows the Oscar-nominee as he embarks on a culinary journey throughout Italy. He travels to Rome, Tuscany, Sicily, and Milan to learn about the people and stories behind the most irresistible food on the planet. The actor’s video of how to make the perfect Negroni cocktail went viral in 2020, so it’s about time the Tucci got his own show.
‘Cinderella’
It’s finally possible to watch Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella again. Starting Feb. 12, the classic 1997 TV film will be available on Disney+. The TV movie musical starred Brandy in the title role with Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother. Whoopi Goldberg, Victor Garber, Natalie Desselle Reid, Bernadette Peters, Paolo Montalban, Jason Alexander, and Veanne Cox also starred in the movie.
Cinderella originally premiered on Nov. 2, 1997, to 60 million viewers during The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC. The movie became an instant fan-favorite, but it hasn’t been widely available until now. Families can experience the magic of this groundbreaking film forever.
‘To All The Boys: Always & Forever’
The final chapter of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky’s love story will be told in To All The Boys: Always & Forever, which launches Feb. 12 on Netflix. The third and final film in the To All The Boys film series will pick up in Lara Jean and Peter’s senior year. As high school nears its end, the fan-favorite couple will have to make tough decisions that will impact their relationship’s future. Lana Condor and Noah Centineo are back to give fans the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.
‘Playing Cupid’
It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, so you know the Hallmark Channel has an amazing love story for fans to enjoy. The new original movie Playing Cupid premieres Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s Love Ever After programming event.
The movie centers around middle school teacher Kerri Fox, played by Laura Vandervoort, who assigns a project in her class where each student must create and run his/her own small business. One of her classmates, Clara Martinez, decides to become Cupid Clara, which becomes a hit. Clara decides she wants to set up Kerri with her divorced dad (Nicholas Gonzalez). Cue the meet-cute!
‘Framing Britney Spears’
The documentary has taken the world by storm. Framing Britney Spears is now available to watch on FX on Hulu. In the doc, people close to Britney Spears and lawyers connected to her conservatorship take a look back at her rise to fame and reassess her career as she battles her own father in court over who should control her life. Britney started out as a princess of pop and became a global phenomenon. She became a victim of the media as her troubles were thrust into the spotlight. Following the documentary’s premiere on Feb. 5, the #FreeBritney movement has gained mass amounts of support from fans and celebrities alike. The documentary shined a much-need light on what’s really going on with our beloved Britney.
‘Men In Kilts’
Outlander fans are still in the midst of a Droughtlander as we await season 6, but Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are returning to TV in the meantime with a brand-new series. Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam & Graham premieres Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. ET on STARZ. The 8-episode series is a fun-filled travel show that features the Outlander stars going on an epic Scotland adventure where they explore their heritage and meet an incredible collection of people who truly showcase what it means to be Scottish. From whisky tasting to folk dancing to hanging off the edge of a cliff, Sam and Graham embrace anything and everything throughout their epic journey.
‘Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel’
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at Cecil Hotel is Netflix’s newest true-crime hit. The 4-part series launched Feb. 10 on Netflix and almost instantly became the streaming service’s current #1 series in the U.S. The first season focuses on the notorious Cecil Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, where a number of people have died. The docuseries highlights the Elisa Lam case. In 2013, the college student was staying at the Cecil when she totally vanished. Her disappearance sparked a media frenzy and internet sleuths became determined to solve the case. The Netflix series brings the Cecil Hotel out of the shadows and explores what happened inside its walls.
‘The Office’ & ‘Parks & Rec’ Holiday Episodes
Parks & Recreation made Galentine’s Day a thing, and Feb. 13 should honestly be a national holiday. If you want to celebrate Galentine’s Day with some TV, there are 3 Parks & Recreation episodes available to watch on Peacock now.
