Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, shared two sweet pics of her daughter and Zayn Malik holding a pink cake and embracing in a hug on the day they found out they were having a baby girl.
Gigi Hadid, 25, and Zayn Malik, 27, were pretty private during the pregnancy process with their two-month-old daughter, but now we’re getting a special throwback treat and it’s amazing! The model’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, 56, took to her Instagram account on Dec. 14 to share two never-before-seen photos taken at the gender reveal party and they’re the cutest snapshots you’ll see all day. In one pic, the smiling parents-to-be are posing together while holding a cut-open cake that has white frosting and a pink inside on a plate, and in the other, they’re embracing in a group hug with Yolanda as they take in the exciting news.
“This PINK baby news was the highlight of our year 2020…. Thank you mommy and daddy for this greatest gift @zayn & @gigihadid #Family #Memories,” the caption for the post read.
Once the photos were published, Yolanda’s followers gushed over the memorable moments. “OMG! So cute!” one wrote. “bless them they look so happy🥺🥺❤️,” another said. Many others left red heart emojis and congratulated Yolanda on being a grandmother.
The latest throwback pics may be adorable, but they’re not the first ones we’ve seen from Gigi’s pregnancy. The new mom shared photos featuring her baby bump on her social media page on Nov. 30, and they gave her fans a glimpse into what the journey was like. In two of the pics, which can be seen above, she can be seen posing on a porch while wearing a tight sleeveless dress and in another, Zayn lovingly has his head rested on her bump while looking up at her smiling face.
“August, waiting for our girl 🥰🥰🥰😭,” Gigi captioned the post.
Gigi first confirmed her pregnancy in Apr. when she appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. “Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support,” she said after Jimmy asked her about it in the interview. She also explained that being together with her familly and Zayn in Pennsylvania during lockdown due to COVID-19 was a great thing.
