A source close to the Australian rapper told HollywoodLife that the new mom will focus on making the holiday season fun for her mini-me. “Iggy’s doing really great and she’s so strong. She’s living at a level of euphoria with Onyx and you can clearly see how bonded they are and how much she loves being a mom,” the insider told us.
They continued, “She’s not at all letting her past heartbreak and the fact that she is raising a baby alone bother her at all. She’s over it and doing her own thing. She’s an extremely hands on mother and is really focusing on making the holidays as nice and fun as possible for Onyx. Right now, they’re spending time together in LA. She’s a fantastic and present mom who’s very focused on her son.”
The New Classic rapper took to her Instagram Story on October 23, sharing a series of blank images featuring nothing but white text explaining why she and Playboi Carti were no longer together. “You lost a real 1,” she began, adding, “People take loyalty for granted & that’s why I’d rather be alone. One thing I’ll never understand is how liars live with themselves. That s**t don’t eat y’all up inside?”
In the wake of the split, a source close to the rapper spoke to HL, and explained that Iggy’s main focus was simply on being a great mom. “Iggy is a very strong woman and being a mother, she’s even more committed to do what is right for her child. And to be a single mom is exactly what Onyx needs in her eyes,” the source said. “Iggy is not looking to date someone new. Not looking to get back with Carti. She’s looking to be the best mother she can be.”
