Fresh Hell: Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle Are Reportedly Trying to Take Over the RNC

And hey, who would want a historic four-year opportunity for grifting to end? We fully believe that Trump Jr. is deeply saddened by the prospect of going back to no one giving a shit about what he has to say, but that’s not a reason to just put him in charge of everything. As for Guilfoyle, not only did the team she led reportedly “underperform“ in fundraising for the Trump campaign, but she apparently made people’s ears bleed with frequent jokes about her sex life, including how Trump Jr. liked her to dress up as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She supposedly even “horrified” donors at one event by offering a lap dance to whoever gave the most money, while saying at another that the top donor would be invited for a soak in a hot tub with her. (In a statement, Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh told Politico, which reported the news, “Kimberly Guilfoyle is an excellent fundraiser and was a highly valued asset to the president’s team. There was nothing offensive about her presentations in context.”) Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle would also allegedly “banter in sexually suggestive ways that made some donors uncomfortable.” (If ever there were a reason to deploy the vomit emoji.) And of course there was the New Yorker story suggesting Guilfoyle was forced to leave Fox News because of sexual harassment allegations against her, which included showing an assistant photos of male genitalia; urging the assistant to “submit to a Fox employee’s demands for sexual favors”; and exposing her naked body to said assistant. (In a statement, Guilfoyle said: “In my 30-year career working for the S.F. District Attorney’s Office, the L.A. District Attorney’s Office, in media, and in politics, I have never engaged in any workplace misconduct of any kind.”)

In a tweet, Trump Jr. insisted he had no desire to take over the party, calling the report “#fakenews as usual.” Guilfoyle and the RNC did not respond to CNN’s requests for comment
