Kendrick Lamar Confirms SZA As Super Bowl Halftime Show Guest

Ahead of their co-headlining stadium tour this spring and summer, longtime collaborators Kendrick Lamar and SZA will team up as part of the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The news was revealed in a video posted to social media today (Jan. 22), during which SZA dumps what looks to be blue Gatorade on an unsuspecting Lamar as he’s talking on the phone to someone about the upcoming performance.

The show will air live on Fox and will be produced by Jay-Z and Roc Nation for a sixth year. Lamar, who shared in the Emmy for outstanding live variety special for the 2022 edition with Jay-Z, Jesse Collins and other guests such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent.

The halftime event will be creative directed by Lamar and longtime collaborator Dave Free’s pgLang company.

As previously reported, Lamar and SZA’s Grand National tour begins April 19 in Minneapolis and concludes June 18 in Washington, D.C.
