Angelina Jolie has proved once again that she’s the queen of the red carpet.

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress stepped out in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 26, for her new film, Maria — and stepped away from her usually straight hairstyle.

Jolie, 49, opted for a curly look, with big volume and a flip to one side. She paired it with a dramatic red lip and a gold satin dress.

In her new film, Jolie plays real life opera singer Maria Callas, a legend in the world of opera who died in 1977. The film, directed by Pablo Larrain, tells the story of Callas toward the end of her life, living in France.

In September, Jolie had three of her children join her on the red carpet in New York City. She was promoting Maria on Sunday, September 29 alongside daughter Zahara, 19, and sons Pax, 20, and Maddox, 23.

Maddox and Pax have begun working in the industry alongside their mother. The two had roles in the assistant director’s department of Jolie’s movie Without Blood.

The film, which Jolie wrote and directed, stars Salma Hayek.

Her sons also worked on Maria. In an August interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Jolie elaborated on their roles in the film.

Nestled among the rolling hills of the French countryside in the small village of Correns sits Château Miraval, the centuries-old 1,200-acre property Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased for $28.4 million in 2008. For the A-list megastars, the sprawling estate was an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. It was a place […]

“Mad and Pax were on this one. Doing AD [assistant directing] work. They’ve done that quite a few times, and I think that’s good for them,” said Jolie. “Pax tends to do stills and he gets brought in, and Pablo was wonderful and recognized that he was good at it.”

Jolie shares six children total with her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt.

Jolie recently made headlines after reports surfaced that she was linked to British Rapper Akala (full name: Kingslee James McLean Daley).

A source close to Jolie denied this claim, and said that the actress is just friends with the rapper.

“Angelina is close friends with Akala’s girlfriend [Chanelle Newman], who has also been at every event,” said a source on Tuesday, October 22, sharing exclusively with Us. “They all work together. Angelina remains focused on her family and is not dating at this time.”

These appearances come after news broke that Jolie ended a legal battle with the Department of Justice. Jolie had been seeking anonymous court action, looking to get FBI documents about a private jet incident allegedly involving an altercation with Pitt in 2016.

That filing, dated September 25, stated “The parties to this action hereby stipulate to dismiss this action with prejudice, with each party to bear its own fees and costs.”
