Who Went Home During Week 2?

DWTS Season 33 just saw its first eliminations of the season. Oscars Night began with 13 couples, but now only 11 remain. Since no one went home during week one this year, week two featured a double elimination.

So who advanced to week three and who said goodbye at the end of the night? Read on to get the scoop.

Several DWTS Competitors Scored Very Well On Oscars Night

Although it’s only the second week of DWTS Season 33, viewers know this year will be intensively competitive. Right now, there’s no clear winner. Several couples are in a prime position to bring home the Mirrorball Trophy this fall.

Disney Channel star Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong went on to earn the highest score for the second week in a row. They earned a 24/30, which is incredibly high for the second week. However, Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, NBA star Dwight Howard, and Bachelor Nation’s Joey Graziadei were hot on their heels.

If Chandler and Brandon want to hang onto their top position for another week, they’ll need to work hard.

Thankfully, the top performers weren’t in danger. But two couples did have to say goodbye tonight.

Other Performers Struggled And Two Said Goodbye

DWTS fans aren’t totally sold on con artist Anna Delvey yet. And even though the judges said they saw potential in her, they asked her to open up and share more with the audience. Right now, many viewers think she doesn’t truly want to be part of the show.

Meanwhile, one actor is struggling to keep his head above water.

As Alfonso Ribeiro noted, the ballroom absolutely loves Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson. His jovial nature and contagious can-do attitude continuously earn him votes. But after a lackluster performance on premiere night, his score actually went down. This week, the actor and Emma Slater performed the Paso Doble to Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.” The judges awarded them a 15/30, a point lower than the premiere night.

The bottom three couples on Oscars Night included:

  • Anna Delvey & Ezra Sosa
  • Reginald VelJohnson & Emma Slater
  • Tori Spelling & Pasha Pashkov

Surprisingly enough, Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater managed to earn the final spot in week three. That meant Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov exited the competition along with Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa.

Although many fans will miss Tori and Pasha, the same probably can’t be said for Anna and Ezra. When Julianne Hough asked Anna Delvey what she would take away from the competition, she flippantly answered, “nothing.”

What did you think of this week’s performances? Were you pleased with the ending results? Be sure to add your thoughts to the conversation and share your thoughts in the comments.
