It was a beautiful sunny day with a taste of early autumn lingering in the air with the trees dressed in their carnival clothes in gold and scarlet and the Times Square billboards somehow looked bolder. The day seemed perfect for the celebration of International Peace Day’s 40th anniversary where the “Pause The World For Peace” 5 hour concert took place. One of the featured artists New York and London’s own Quinn Lemley rocked the stage of the Square during the Devine Woman’s segment of the extravaganza.
“Pause The World for Peace” was hosted by the Good News Corporation and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine and produced by Paul Sladkus and OMMM. Joining Quinn for this live and worldwide streamed event were Keith Shocklee (founder of Public Enemy), AY Young, Grammy winner Jilly Yeah, singer Irene Michaels, Composer and film scorer Randy Edelman (My Cousin Vinny, Last of the Mohicans), The King Moore Unity Project and a marathon of others. Also featured was the Friendship and Peace Tree standing 10 feet high and 26 feet wide. There were also virtual messages broadcasted showcasing wishes of Peace from Ringo Starr, Michael Douglas, Shakira, Leonardo DiCaprio, Stevie Wonder, and more.
The event was running late, however, Quinn Lemley captured the hearts of the audience with her version of “Don’t Rain On My Parade”….and made an unbelievable impact. Over 380 thousand people visit the crossroads of the world each day and Quinn caught the attention of all with her beauty, her grace and her talent. You can see Quinn on October 28, 2024 headline the LiLY Gala (Lifeforce in Later Years) with her trio. She will also be releasing new music called “Rita Hayworth-The Heat Is On.” You can also see Quinn on her television talk show “Secrets of the Stage” on MNN channel 4 each week with special guests.
