‘Zoochosis’ Closed for Quarantine for One Week, Releasing on September 30 [Trailer]

Body horror fans will have to wait a little while longer for Clapperheads’ Zoochosis. Originally set to release on September 23, due to an “unknown parasite”, the game will now launch on PC via Steam on September 30. The silver lining is that we get a new trailer out of the delay, showing more of what fans can expect.

Zoochosis is a first-person simulation title that utilizes a bodycam perspective to give your body horror experiences that extra personal touch. You play a zookeeper about to start their first night shift. As you suit up and go about your rounds, you notice some strange behavior from some of the animals in the enclosures. It turns out that these animals have a parasite that is causing some nightmarish mutations in the zoo population. The bloodthirsty, murderous, body horror type of mutations. And it’s spreading.

You must identify the infected animals and make vaccines to cure them before the parasite spreads out of control and to the wider zoo. In doing so, you’ll be uncovering the mysteries of the zoo and save the animals in order to save yourself. Your choices will ultimately determine the ending.

Along with dealing with the infected, you’ll also have to keep up with your duties as a zookeeper for the uninfected animals. That means taking care of them, choosing and preparing their meals, as well as restock and clean up after them in their respective enclosures.
