If you’re in Nashville, Detroit or London and you’re a Jack White fan, make haste to his Third Man Records retail stores in those cities, because it’s the only place you can find the artist’s brand new album — free with purchase, at least for now.
The project has no name or artwork and apparently consists of 13 new songs. Vinyl enthusiasts who found themselves at Third Man today were rewarded by having the LP slipped into their bags at checkout without further explanation.
No additional information about the album has been made available, although some of the music has already been played today on Detroit radio station WDET.
White’s most recent full-lengths, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive, were released in 2022. He’s been largely off the road since wrapping an extensive tour that December, but sources tell SPIN there are live shows percolating more sooner than later.
