Dawn of the Dead Vinyl Soundtrack from Waxwork Records

Dawn of the Dead’s theatrical soundtrack is available on vinyl for $60 via Waxwork Records. The 3xLP album includes the complete De Wolfe library cues for the first time on vinyl.

It’s pressed on 180-gram colored vinyl and housed in a triple gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring art by Juan Carlos Ruiz Burgos, a four-page booklet, and liner notes by Living Dead historian Jim Cirronella. Shipping begins on December 15.


Tales from the Darkside: The Movie 4K UHD from Scream Factory

Tales from the Darkside: The Movie will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on November 28 via Scream Factory. Based on the TV series of the same name, the 1990 horror anthology has been newly scanned in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

John Harrison (Dune) directs from a script by master of horror George A. Romero and Michael McDowell (Beetlejuice), including adaptations of Stephen King and Arthur Conan Doyle. Debbie Harry, Christian Slater, David Johansen, William Hickey, James Remar, Rae Dawn Chong, and Matthew Lawrence star.

Special features include: a new commentary by critics Emily Higgins and Billy Dunham; commentary by Harrison and Romero; commentary by co-producer David R. Kappes; a feature-length documentary with Harrison, Remar, Chong, and various crew members; and more.


The Witch Poster from One Man Riet

Live deliciously with One Man Riet’s blacklight poster of The Witch’s Black Phillip in the colorful style of Lisa Frank.

Priced at $40, the 18×24 screen print is UV reactive and features black flocking.


Blood Feast 4K UHD from Synapse Films

2016’s Blood Feast will be released uncut on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on January 16 via Synapse Films. Herschell Gordon Lewis, director of the original 1963 splatter classic, makes a cameo in the remake.

Marcel Walz (Seed 2) directs from a script by Philip Lilienschwarz. Genre favorites Robert Rusler (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge) and Caroline Williams (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) star with Sophie Monk, Sadie Katz, and Roland Freitag.

Blood Feast is presented with Dolby Vision and DTS-HD MA 5.1 Stereo Surround sound. Special features include: a making-of featurette; red carpet premiere footage; Scare Cam; trailers; and a music video.


Horror Movie: A Novel by Paul Tremblay

Horror Movie: A Novel by Paul Tremblay (whose The Cabin at the End of the World was adapted into M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin), will be published in hardcover, e-book, and audio book on June 25, 2024 via William Morrow.

The 288-page horror novel is described as “an obsessive, psychologically chilling, and suspenseful twist on the ‘cursed film’ that breathlessly builds to an unforgettable, mind-bending conclusion.”
