On Saturday, actress Salma Hayek attended the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Killers Of The Flower Moon, and she was dressed to impress. The 56-year-old star was clad in an absolutely stunning dark purple dress by Alexander McQueen.
The bodice had a deep dip to show off her décolletage, and a mermaid skirt that clung to her figure and ended in a short train. The shoulders were emphasized with sculptural winged ruffles, and there was a matching upturned ruffle at the knee. Hayek dressed the gown up even further with a tall crown-like bun, and statement jewelry pieces, including an ornate diamond necklace, large ring, and matching bracelet.
The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser, and Jesse Plemons and is directed by Martin Scorsese. The story takes place in the 1920s, focusing on the murders of Osage tribe members after oil was found on their land. Hayek attended the premiere with her partner François Henri Pinault.
The House of Gucci star is still quite influential in the world of fashion and recently celebrated hitting the 24 million-follower mark on Instagram. She shared a clip of herself dancing as she got ready for an event with her team, the movement sending her robe flying.
“24 million followers, 24 million reasons to smile,” Hayek wrote in the caption. “Thank you all for joining me on this wild ride! I cannot contain my excitement & gratitude.”
Just after, she posted for mental health awareness which is getting the spotlight this month, asking everyone to unite against bullying in particular.
“Your mental well-being deserves to be cherished,” she wrote in the caption of a video in which she’s sharing a personal story on the subject. “This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s unite against bullying and empower each other to embrace self-care, love, and healing.”
