Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’ Poster Sends a Horse into the Night Skies

A brand new poster for Jordan Peele‘s third horror movie Nope has arrived this morning, a play on the film’s original teaser poster that this time seems to… abduct a horse?!

A horse is sent flying off into the sky in this brand new poster for Peele’s Nope, surrounded by other items that have been sent skyward – including little plush alien creatures…

As we saw in the Super Bowl trailer for Nope, this one appears to be some kind of alien invasion horror movie, with those plush toys perhaps giving us our first look at the creatures we’ll be meeting in Peele’s latest movie. Then again, it’s entirely possible that Nope isn’t at all the movie it thus far appears to be, with the marketing throwing us off the scent.

Check out the latest poster for Jordan Peele’s Nope below. And keep guessing.

Both written and directed by Peele, Nope is shrouded in secrecy at this point in time, but we do know it’s coming to theaters from Universal this summer, on July 22, 2022.

In the film, “Residents in a lonely gulch of inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.”

Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) will be reteaming with Peele on the mysterious movie, with the cast also including Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Mayhem) and Keke Palmer (“Scream”). Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea also star.

Nope is part of a “five-year exclusive production partnership” Universal Pictures inked with Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions, and it’s been described as a “horror event.” Mind you, anything from Peele at this point is instantly an event, but we can probably expect Nope to be Peele’s biggest movie to date, with an announced IMAX optimization. On that note, the film’s cinematographer is Hoyte van Hoytema, whose previous work includes Let the Right One InSpectre, and the Christopher Nolan films InterstellarDunkirk, and Tenet.
