[Trailer] Battle Otherworldly Horrors in Psychological Survival Thriller ‘AFTERMATH’ Announced For 2022

Up for some horror-like psychological survival thriller? META Publishing and developer ONE-O-ONE Games might have what you’re looking for with their newly-announced title AFTERMATH. The over-the-shoulder shooter will be heading to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG in 2022.

Set in a European city, you play as Charlie Gray, an engineer and European astronaut. After a traumatic reentry to Earth and the events that followed, Charlie finds her life spiraling. The only constant is her daughter Sammy. That all changes when Sammy goes missing, and Charlie must find her, facing off against not only an unearthly presence, but her own demons.

Unfortunately for Charlie, at the same time she searches for her daughter, something is hunting her. Not only will you have to discover just what “it” is, but you’ll also have to outwit whatever it is following you and survive. Luckily,  Charlie’s engineering mind and scientific approach gives players a new take on crafting mechanics. You’ll have to observe, take notes of your surroundings to invent a blueprint, and then find and combine the necessary parts.

And seeing as it’s a survival thriller, AFTERMATH will also employ a mechanic where players will have to eat the right food, maintain their mental health and physical stamina in order to stay alert and avoid foes.

And, if you’re a fan of Alien: Covenant (we know you’re out there) and Suspiria (we definitely know you’re out there), AFTERMATH‘s visual style and aesthetics are from Italian visual arts master Alessandro Bavari, who worked on both films.
