With Halloween Kills on the way this weekend, home improvement specialists Insulation Express have spoken to valuation experts at CompareMyMove to determine the actual value of the infamous Michael Myers house and other iconic horror houses.

Jenny Turner at Insulation Express says: ‘It’s fascinating to see the real world values of the most iconic horror movie houses, and it’s also surprising to learn how big some of the properties actually are. With the location and property style taken into consideration, it’s easy to see how many of them are worth over a million dollars, including the unassuming suburban house in the ‘Halloween’ film franchise. With picturesque tree-lined blocks, the neighbourhood looks surprisingly welcoming considering its spooky connections.’

The houses from movies including The Amityville Horror, A Quiet Place, The Exorcist, IT, and A Nightmare on Elm Street are profiled, but can you guess which house is worth the most?

The value of The Exorcist house in Georgetown, Washington DC tops the list at $3,984,100, beating out the $3,016,700 price tag for the Elm Street house in Los Angeles, California!

As for the Michael Myers house from Halloween, which is located in South Pasadena, California, the 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom house is valued at an estimated $1,414,444.

The house with one of the lowest values on the list is the only one that’s actually tied to a real-life true crime, with the infamous The Amityville Horror house estimated at $809,100.
