With so much unpleasantness in the world, we really must offer thanks to Cupid, who appears to have targeted the hearts of Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz.
Though they are not official—and far from Instagram Official—it’s a pairing that has brought great joy to many, including an army of Brooklyn moms who perhaps have a sudden affinity for BMX bikes.
While the pair have been spotted mainly in New York City, they were upstate earlier in the week, and who can blame them with this August heat? Page Six was first to show images of the two emerging from a supermarket with all the essentials: flowers, a large aluminum broiling pan, a packed paper bag of groceries, and either a six pack of paper towels or a 12 pack of toilet paper. If you knew how long I’ve been staring at these images trying to make that final determination, you would be amazed. Either way, they’ve got what they need for a cozy retreat.
And while this is far from proof of everlasting romance, there is additional evidence that the two are at least aware of the public interest in their alleged coupling.
As noted by the Daily Mail, Tatum is following not just one or two but four different fan accounts dedicated to Kravitz. (One account reportedly drew attention to the Magic Mike star’s fandom this past week.) It remains unknown whether @zoekravitzsource, @zkluv, @zoekravitzinc, or @kravitzupdate is his current favorite. Below is an example of what one can find on @zkluv.
Tatum also appears to have recently added several non-Zoë Kravitz accounts to his timeline, including Donatella Versace.
Channing and Kravitz met when she cast him in the forthcoming film Pussy Island, which also stars Naomi Ackie and will mark Kravitz’s directorial debut. (She co-wrote the screenplay with E.T. Feigenbaum, whom she worked with on High Fidelity.) Ackie will play Frida, a waitress with plans to get her hooks into a tech mogul named Slater King, played by Tatum. As Kravitz told Deadline, the pair have honed the script together. “Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character,” she said. The film will be released by MGM.
Signing on to Pussy Island has also changed more than Channing Tatum’s (alleged) love life. In an early meeting with Kravitz, the director convinced him to stop wearing Crocs.
