1999 Thriller ‘Arlington Road’ Being Turned into a TV Series for Paramount+

A few years before directing The Mothman Prophecies, Mark Pellington made the conspiracy thriller Arlington Road, which starred Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack. We’ve learned today that the 1999 movie is now being turned into a television series for Paramount+, with Deadline reporting that Pellington himself is on board to produce and direct.

Seth Fisher (“The Alienist”) is writing the series adaptation.

“The film tells the story of a widowed George Washington University professor who suspects his new neighbors are involved in terrorism and becomes obsessed with foiling their plot.”

CBS Studios and Village Roadshow Television are producing the upcoming series.

The script for the 1999 movie was written by Ehren Kruger, who notably went on to write movies including Scream 3, The Ring, The Skeleton Key, and three of the Transformers movies.
