After moving to Florida at the end of last year, it looks like Sylvester Stallone is already hobnobbing with the former president and his inner circle after reportedly becoming Mar-a-Lago’s newest member.
A source confirmed to Page Six that “Sly just became a member of Mar-a-Lago,” adding that they saw the Rocky star at the club last month posing for a photograph with guests in which they all struck a boxing stance with raised fists. Stallone also previously visited the club as an invited guest for a New Year’s Eve party in 2016. The Palm Beach property owned by Donald Trump is where the former president planned to live after his term came to an end at the beginning of the year, even doing renovations on the building so that it could accommodate him living there full time. However, according to the Washington Post, some of his Palm Beach neighbors wrote a formal letter stating that Trump should seek alternative housing, citing a 1993 letter in which he signed away his legal right to live at the club full-time.
Stallone reportedly moved into the neighborhood in December, purchasing a $35.375 million compound in the North End of town. The property, sitting on 1.5 acres with 253 feet of lakefront, features a two-story “Bermuda-style” main residence, a separate guesthouse, and a pool pavilion with open-air cabana, adding up to 13,241 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. In January of this year, the actor also listed the $110 million Rocky-themed Los Angeles mansion where he’s lived with his wife for over two decades. The custom-built 21,000-square-foot Beverly Hills Park home was decorated with a “strangely vast trove” of Rocky memorabilia, including a statue of himself with raised gloves that stands guard in front of an arched window. Hopefully, Sly was able to take that piece of art with him to Palm Beach.
