Drag Race UK icon Bimini Bon Boulash has broken her silence after she lost out on the crown to Lawrence Chaney on Thursday night (18 March).
Bimini, an early fan-favourite, faced off against Chaney, Tayce and Ellie Diamond in the dramatic finale, which saw the four queens lip-sync to Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing”.
The non-binary icon heaped praise on Lawrence Chaney in an emotional Twitter thread on Friday morning (19 March) and thanked Drag Race UK fans for their undying support.
“I’m so proud of my journey on Drag Race UK. All I wanted was to make it to the final. Whatever would happen after would be a bonus.
“I competed with myself the entire time and no one else. I believe in the universe and I trust the process. Everything happens for a reason,” she wrote.

“My girl Lawrence Chaney is a totally worthy winner. The impact they had on the competition is undeniable and they’re talented, funny, beautiful and an all round fabulous human. I love everything about them and I couldn’t be more proud of them for their deserved win.
“The love and support from you all has been incredible. Honestly I walked in with an idea of how I wanted my story to go and it quickly changed when I lip-synced episode one,” Bimini Bon Boulash wrote, referencing the shock moment when she found herself in the bottom two at the start of the season.
Bimini Bon Boulash ‘spread nothing but love’ on Drag Race UK
“Looking back I wouldn’t change anything for the world. I had one of the most authentic experiences,” Bimini Bon Boulash added.
“I stayed true to myself and never acted up. I tried to spread nothing but love. I will continue to do so whether I have a crown or not. I love you all, the entire experience has been phenomenal. I’m always a winner baby and so are the entire season two cast.”
Bimini Bon Boulash closed out her statement by promising fans that she has “some super exciting things coming out”.
“This is the beginning of the rest of my life. I love you. Thank you for believing in me and I hope I make you all proud.”
The icon sent fans into a frenzy with one final tweet. Sharing a GIF of herself on the Drag Race UK stage, Bimini wrote: “See you on All Stars?”
Bimini Bon Boulash quickly emerged as a fan favourite when Drag Race UK hit television screens in January.
Speaking to PinkNews ahead of the Drag Race UK finale, Bimini described herself as diplomatic, and said she often tried to defuse tension in the werk room – something producers didn’t exactly thank her for.
“I did actually get told though by one of the producers: ‘We love you and you’re really lovely but let people argue,’” she said.
