‘Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’ No Longer Releasing in 2021 as Development Team is Replaced

It’s grimly fitting that a game about being cursed with vampirism has itself been so terribly cursed in its development.

After delays and apparent discontent plagued the long-awaited RPG sequel Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, it’s now been struck with a huge setback in the form of a change of development team, which means it will no longer be releasing this year as planned.

In a statement on the game’s official Discord channel, it was announced that developer Hardsuit Labs has been removed from the project to take it in the direction the owners feel is required.

So while this is quite the upheaval for the long-suffering development of this game, it is at least still in development, even if we don’t know who exactly is developing now. Hopefully, this is the last snag the game hits now it has some fresh breathing room to get made.
