Drake Says New Album Certified Lover Boy Isn’t Coming This Month

Last October, Drake announced that his next album Certified Lover Boy would arrive in January 2021. Now, he has issued an update that the album will not arrive this month.

Drake shared the news earlier tonight (January 20) in an Instagram story viewed by Pitchfork. “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote, referring to a knee injury he sustained in the fall of 2020. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.”
