Four years of the “orange garbage can” that is Donald Trump serving as president of the United States have been summed up in the most spectacular Broadway parody.

Gay comedian Randy Rainbow created his own version of “Seasons of Love” from Rent, but his version is called “Seasons of Trump” instead.

The song – released on Tuesday (19 January), Trump’s last full day in office – expertly mocks the outgoing president by name-checking the seemingly never-ending list of scandals he was embroiled in throughout his presidency.

Singing to the tune of “Seasons of Love”, Rainbow blasts Trump as “unhinged and unfit” before asking: “How do you measure four years of this s**t?”

Randy Rainbow tears Donald Trump to shreds in iconic Broadway parody.

Throughout the iconic parody, Rainbow name checks Trump’s impeachment, his alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels, his rallies that often spilled over into chaos, and, of course, his violent insurrection.

“Two million, a hundred two thousand falsehoods he tweeted,” Rainbow sings in the parody. “Basically 14,976 times he didn’t have a plan / 11,870 votes he said he needed / How do you measure four years with this orange garbage can?”

Rainbow goes on to lambast Trump for his appalling selection of White House staffers, including Sean Spicer, Kellyanne Conway and Kayleigh McEnany.

He also references Trump’s love of “alternative facts” in the song before asking: “Who could keep track of all the treacherous acts perpetrated by Trump?”

Rainbow also references “Access Hollywood tapes”, racism, tantrums, and treason before closing out his truly legendary takedown of the outgoing president.

The song ends with Rainbow begging Americans to “never again” let Donald Trump hold any kind of power – and we’re fairly sure plenty of people will agree with him on that one.

Randy Rainbow’s iconic “Seasons of Trump” parody has won acclaim on social media, with celebrities including Mark Hamill and Whoopi Goldberg praising the comedian for his epic takedown.

Rainbow’s latest parody comes as Trump finally leaves office following his defeat in the November 2020 presidential election.

Joe Biden will be sworn in as president of the United States on Wednesday (20 January), with a televised special hosted by Tom Hanks set to air afterwards.

Inauguration day usually comes with huge crowds and festivities from supporters, but Biden’s ceremonies will be significantly curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
