Queen Elizabeth Gets Her Jab

Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, were both on the business end of COVID-19 vaccination injections on Saturday, according to Buckingham Palace spokespeople. The injections were administered at Windsor Castle by a household physician.

The Queen is 94 and the Prince is 99, therefore putting them in the highest risk category for the disease.

It was not stated which company’s vaccine the royal couple received. All current vaccines require a second shot three to four weeks after the initial dose.

The United Kingdom has seen a substantial spike in COVID-19 rates recently, with one in 50 people infected in England. The U.K. has the fifth highest coronavirus death toll, at approximately 80,000.
