Why Olivia Jade Feels Now Is The Best Time To Return To YouTube After Lori Loughlin’s Prison Release

Olivia Jade teased her return to YouTube shortly after her mom Lori Loughlin returned home from prison and we’ve learned EXCLUSIVELY why she feels now is the perfect time.

Olivia Jade Giannulli teased her YouTube return earlier this week — and the 21-year-old like now was the time get back on the video sharing platform. “She wanted her mom to get back home first,” a source close to the beauty tutorial vlogger told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “And then get back to work in the new year.”

The social media star’s parents, Lori Loughlin, 56, and Mossimo Giannulli, 57, had their lives turned upside down after they were arrested for their involvement in the college admissions scandal back in 2019. The couple pled guilty to paying $400,000 in bribes to get their daughters into USC. Lori was released from prison on Dec. 28 after a two month sentence while Mossimo continues to serve time.

Because of their tight knit bond, Olivia has had a rough year watching her parents go through this. And with what her family has been going through, she just wasn’t ready. “She’s always been really close with her parents,” the source said. “So the entire situation was hard on her and she’s ready to put herself back out there.”

This isn’t Olivia’s first time getting back into the spotlight since the scandal hit. Earlier this month, Olivia sat down with Jada Pinkett SmithWillow Smith and Adrianne Banfield-Norris, for an episode of Red Table Talk where she discussed things publicly for the first time. “I was definitely confused when this all came out,” Olivia said to the ladies. “And I went and confronted them about everything. They didn’t really have much to say, except, like, ‘I’m so sorry. I, like, really messed up in trying to give the best to you and your sister.’”

The interview helped her turn a corner which felt freeing and now more than ever, she’s ready to put herself back out there. “Her Red Table Talk interview was quite liberating for her in a way and she’s now ready to launch this next chapter for her,” the source continued. “It helped her get her story out there in the way she wanted to tell it while getting ready to get back in the public eye.”
