Lori Loughlin Reportedly Had a Tearful Reunion with Her Daughters After Leaving Prison

Lori Loughlin is understandably “beyond relieved” to have her two-month prison sentence behind her and be back at home with her two daughters in time for the New Year.

According to a source who spoke with People, the actress had a tearful reunion with her children, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, after her release from a federal correction facility in Dublin, California on Monday morning. “It’s the end of a very long ordeal,” they said, while a second insider added that Loughlin “seems beyond relieved that she can put her prison sentence behind her. It’s the most stressful thing she has ever dealt with. She plans on spending New Year’s with Olivia and Bella.”

However, while she’s delighted to be back at her $9.5 million “farmhouse” with her girls, the Fuller House star is still very concerned about her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, who is currently serving his five-month sentence at F.C.I. Lompoc and isn’t slated to be released until April 17, according to the Bureau of Prisons. The source said, “She is still worried about Mossimo though, and can’t wait to have him home.”

On October 30, Loughlin began serving time for her participation in the college admissions scandal, in which she and Giannulli paid half a million dollars in bribes to get their two daughters accepted into the University of Southern California. While they both initially pled not guilty to the charges, in May they reversed their stance with the actress pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, while her husband admitted to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud.

According to court records, Loughlin has already paid the $150,000 fine that was part of her plea deal and now only has to complete her 150 hours of community service in order to fulfill her sentence.
