Adidas Releasing ‘Gremlins’-Inspired “Christmas Monster” Shoes This Holiday Season

Another pair of horror-themed sneakers is on the way, with NiceKicks.com bringing us the word that Adidas has teamed up with Stan Smith for a pair of Gremlins-inspired kicks!

The shoes are being referred to as “Christmas Monster,” and they’re essentially made to look like you’re wearing Gizmo on your feet. Which sounds cruel, now that I’m typing it out.

The fuzzy sneakers are half brown and half white, with Gizmo’s eyes peering out from the heels. On the insole, made to look like Gremlin skin, they’ve printed the iconic care instructions from Joe Dante’s holiday horror classic. Does that mean you shouldn’t be wearing these sneakers out in the rain? Well, Adidas actually went ahead and took care of that part for you!

As NiceKicks.com notes, “Adidas takes things one step further as the sneakers are coated with waterproof GORE-TEX technology, so you can wear them out in the rain or snow.”

The “Christmas Monster” shoes ($120) will be available on December 19 through select retailers, the website also notes, including 43einhalb and adidas.com.
