Matthew Williams Teases His New Givenchy

In June, Matthew M. Williams—co-founder of fashion brand 1017 ALYX 9SM—succeeded Clare Waight Keller as the new Creative Director of French fashion house Givenchy. Heading up womenswear and menswear, he is bringing his love for high-quality materials, subversive culture, and modern craftsmanship to the brand. The “Teaser” capsule collection now available on brand’s website and exclusively in their Miami Design Direct store, is an edited selection from Matthew’s first collection for the house, Spring/Summer 2021. The collection highlights Williams’s love of hardware, experimental tailoring, and unique fabric treatments.

Williams’s Givenchy promises to mix functionality with French elegance, a marriage of technical innovation with emotion—keeping the of-the-moment brand spirit ready for the new era.
