Candace Cameron Bure Claims Lori Loughlin’s “Presence” Was Felt on the Fuller House Set

Despite Lori Loughlin having to drop out of the second half of Fuller House’s final season due to her involvement in the college-admissions scandal, her presence was still very much felt on set, says Candace Cameron Bure.

Earlier this month Bure commemorated the one-year anniversary of the show’s series-finale taping by sharing a photo on her Instagram Stories of a bouquet of pink roses and a note from her costar who played Aunt Becky. “Dearest Candace,” the note written in 2019 read, “Congratulations on a great run! Have a fabulous last week. I love you and miss you.” Loughlin is currently almost halfway through serving a two-month prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, after pleading guilty to paying $500,000 to get her two daughters into the University of Southern California.

In case there was any doubt about the signature on that card, on Tuesday, Bure confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the note was in fact from Loughlin. “She sent me flowers and I believe a few other people some flowers. It was so nice to feel and have her presence there at the show,” the actor said, adding, “Yeah, it was really special.”

After Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were charged in March 2019, the Hallmark star also told the Today show that for herself and her Fuller House castmates, the whole scandal was “too personal to us and we would never want to talk about someone that’s such a dear and close friend. I’ve already said that we are family and we stand by each other and pray for each other and we’ll always be there for each other.”
