Jon Voight Thinks He and Donald Trump Are in “Our Greatest Fight Since the Civil War”

Much like Joe Biden, Jon Voight is fighting to restore the soul of America. Except instead of a return to decency and empathy, according to the actor, restoring that soul requires overcoming totally unproven allegations of voter fraud in order to make Donald Trump president for another four years.

Voight, an outspoken Republican and Trump supporter, posted an almost-two-minute-long video to his Twitter account on Tuesday in which he rails against the “evil” Democrats while claiming that we’re in the midst of “our greatest fight since the Civil War.” In the clip, the actor begins, “My fellow Americans, I stand here with all that feel as I do: disgusted with this lie that Biden has been chosen. As if we all don’t know the truth.” Clearly reading off cue cards, he then goes on to say that there will be “a price to pay” and that the left has no concept of “the horror they will be in for,” as this is not just a presidential election but “the battle of righteousness versus Satan.”

Voight also encourages his fellow conservatives to fight for Trump’s victory and put their trust in God “because these leftists are evil, corrupt, and they want to tear down this nation. We must not allow this. We must fight this corruption that has taken over.” He adds, “Let us not back down. Let us fight this fight as if it is our last fight on earth.” The actor concludes his rant by invoking Muhammad Ali, stating, “It’s not over till the last punch you have.” What both Voight and the Republicans seem to have failed to realize, however, is that the match has already been called.
