The Shriekers Are Back! The Seventh ‘Tremors’ Film is Officially Titled ‘Tremors: Shrieker Island’

Last we heard, the seventh Tremors movie is still on track for release in October, and we’ve learned via the MPAA today that it’s been given an official title and a PG-13 rating.

Formerly titled Tremors: Island Fury, it’s now titled Tremors: Shrieker Island!

That title is in reference to the Shriekers, a recurring franchise villain that first appeared in Tremors 2: Aftershocks. They were last seen in Tremors 3 and the “Tremors” TV series.

In the new movie, starring Michael Gross as Burt Gummer…

“The deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.”

Tremors: Shrieker Island has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA this week for “creature violence, language throughout, some gore, and suggestive/drug references.”

The cast also includes Richard BrakeJon HederCaroline Langrishe, Jackie Cruz, Cassie Clare, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Matthew Douglas, Randy Kalsi, Bear Williams, David Assavanon, Boonma Lamphon, Aukrawut Rojaunawat, Owen Macrae, Iris Park and Mikey Black.

Brian Brightly wrote the screenplay with Universal Home Entertainment regular Don Michael Paul returning to direct. He previously got behind the camera for Tremors 5: Bloodlines and 2018’s Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, as well as several other Universal home video titles.
